Mission Statement
Behavior Therapy Associates (BTA) provides clinical services, consultation
and training using evidence-based approaches within the context of sensitivity and compassion while recognizing the uniqueness
of each individual and setting.
Who are we?
BTA is a private group psychology practice that was founded in 1979 by
Dr. Steven B. Gordon to provide clinical treatment, consultation and training using the methods associated with behavioral
and cognitive therapies. The group practice combines the skills and talents of licensed professionals to provide the highest
quality of service possible.
What is Behavior Therapy?
Behavior Therapy is a treatment approach based on the application of findings from behavioral
science research to help improve the quality of life for individuals, couples, families and systems in ways they would like
to change. A major assumption is that although the past is significant, the current environment is most important in affecting
present behavior. The focus in treatment is to improve self-control by expanding skills and abilities. Click on the link to
